Accessibility
Draft This accessibility page is a draft for Hunter's lawyer to review before the site launches. It is not final and may change.
In plain English
The site aims for WCAG 2.2 level AA.
- Every video has captions and a full transcript with timestamps.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with visible focus, and nothing needs dragging.
- Reduced motion and a plain font are respected; there are no time limits unless you turn one on.
1The target
Carry Forward with Hunter aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
2What is built in
- Captions on every video (on by default when the player loads) and a full text transcript on every video page, with timestamps you can use to jump in the video.
- A skip link, real headings and landmarks, and labels on every control.
- Full keyboard use, with a visible focus outline. No drag-only controls.
- Your system's reduced-motion setting is honoured; My Desk also has a reduced-motion switch and a plain-font option.
- No timers in quizzes or the game unless you switch one on.
- Colour is never the only signal: right and wrong answers also say so in words and symbols.
- The desk game has a plain-list mode with the same content.
3Known limits
The YouTube player is made by Google; its controls and captions are outside my control. If you find a page that does not work for you, please say which page and what happened.
4Reporting a problem
For Hunter (SITE-PLAN decision 5): choose how visitors report an accessibility problem (for example a postal address). Until then, a comment on any Carry Forward video reaches me; please leave out personal details.
